Update 0.0.0.5

This update aims to finally improve the games problems with tutorialization by adding basic tutorial pop ups explaning the main mechanics and some helpful tooltips. I hope to improve the didadic quality of the tutorial on the future, but the idea is that the player largely learns the game by messing around with it for a bit. Because the game doesn't have saves yet, this means the tutorial will show up every time you boot the game and there's still no way to read the tutorials again after you close them, but all of that will be addressed shortly. Since the game is explaining itself a bit better now, I will be removing the brunt of the How It Plays section of the game's page.

Features:

  • Tutorial: the game has very basic pop ups explaning the main mechanics during the relevant moments.
  • Initial Loadout: instead of the game generation you an initial bag of slimes, you can draft your initial loadout after choosing your objective. This way you can begin the game with a set of skills closer to what you want.

Changes:

  • The Mulch and Vat Tube machines now begin with two slots instead of one or three, I'm still trying out that the initial capacity should be.
  • The slime's tooltip now shows what attributes are modified from the start by their skills.
  • The skill's tooltip displays what are its stats for the current level separate from the description.

Fixes:

  • The remove button from the Split machine it's working (again? ever?)
  • When a slime develops a skill through mutation that it already has it will instead level up that skill, this edge case had a confusing behaviour before

Known Bugs:

  • You can be offered identical options for objectives.
  • The "dead slimes" UI will sometimes open empty without any of your slimes having died.
  • The fights can get stuck with no living slimes, as reported by a player, I'm still trying to reproduce this bug
