Update 0.1.6


As I mentioned on the previous patch note, this update is smaller and is mostly just adressing some larger balancing issues with npc difficulty progression and also fixing some bugs. I'm gonna start playtesting the game much more starting from now, so beginning with this update, I'll be addressing the feedback a lot to improve the presentation of the game so far and sort out the balancing and progression of the difficulty.

Changes:

  • Tutorial text and images were revised and updated, with some more infomation added regarding new mechanics.
  • Slimes no longer enter fury state if they don't have any attacks to perform.
  • NPC slimes you encounter in fights begin stronger and will progress in power much faster.


Fixes:

  • Fixed a bug with both the prize reward for ranking in fights and the betting prizes, that were making the player receive too much money potentially.
  • The victory screen has a return button again.
  • The temporary battle arena remains centered in the middle of the game window, even if you resize it.
  • Fixed a bug where the UI of the machines was getting repositioned in a weird way if you were playing in full screen.


Known Bugs:

  • The "dead slimes" UI will sometimes open empty without any of your slimes having died.
  • At certain moments the vertical health ranking is completely empty despite the slimes in battle.
  • The yellow sprite might have a visual bug during the dash animation.
  • Due to collision shenanigans, slimes will sometimes sling to the other side of the screen during fights.
  • Sometimes slimes will still show up twice in the battle rank.
  • The damage values displayed at the end of fights are still really weird.
  • Splash screens are getting deformed if you change the window size.
  • The cooldown progress meter on the health bar gets empty when your next skill is fully charged, instead of showing up full
